Stephen Kangwa was on the national junior tennis team in Zambia and had a full tennis scholarship to Concordia College in Bronxville, New York. He competed in professional tournaments and was captain of Zambia’s Davis Cup Team. Now a USPTA professional, Stephen teaches tennis at all levels. He was Tennis Director and Head Pro at clubs in Westchester County, NY, and worked at The Forest Country Club in Fort Myers.
Players in Seven Lakes rave about Stephen’s ability to work with everyone at their own level. “He breaks it down for us,” said a player from the top women’s team. “There’s so much he’s teaching us that we didn’t know before.” “Even the best players can get better,” agreed a member of the men’s top team. “He remembers everyone’s strengths and weaknesses,” said another player. Stephen says he likes how enthusiastic the players are at Seven Lakes. “Everybody is willing to work with their teams so they are all on the same page. That makes my job easy.”
